Getting Active, Keeping Fit: exercise classes at Cumann na Daoine

It can be hard to keep active in the winter months, and as we age, keeping active can become harder. We have two courses coming up that are just the thing for getting a stretch and increasing your mobility too.

Men on the Move and Women on the Move are 6-week evening courses, running on Tuesday evenings with fitness trainer Sean Power – these classes can help get you moving again!  Course starts Tuesday 23rd January so call 024 91900 or use the Q+R code in the images below to book your place!

The coming up in March, we have the Be Well Be Active course from HSE Health Promotion Unit:

Be Active Be Well

A Physical Activity Behaviour Change Programme

for inactive adults

Being physically active is so important for both our physical and mental health and wellbeing. The Be Active Be Well programme supports and motivates inactive adults to take the next step and become more physically active. The programme explores motivation and confidence to change, overcoming barriers, goal setting, identifying support and looks at why becoming more physically active is important for health. The programme is not an exercise programme but rather a programme that focuses on our thought process around becoming active and how we can make real change that is specific to ourselves. There are 5 sessions in total; each session is 2 hours long. Further information about the programme can be accessed HEREIf you are unable to view the video directly, copy the link into Chrome.
