Youghal Pride by the Sea gets a welcome from the Municipal Council tomorrow when the rainbow flag is raised outside the Civic Offices at 1pm. This is a welcome recognition of the vital role that LGBT+ people play in the life of the town, and acknowledges the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender-fluid people of this region. The rainbow flag will be raised by Cllr. Mary Linehan-Foley and will fl;y for the week of Youghal Pride. Youghal Pride is in its second year, and provides a warm and friendly family event on Claycastle Beach on Saturday 27th July from 3-6pm.
Please join us as we raise our flag and acknowledge not only the LGBT+ people living in Youghal today, but those LGBT+ people whose lives were held in secrecy, who struggled for recognition, and who helped Ireland become the inclusive society it is today.
