In June we mark Pride Week, as the 25th June commemorates the beginning of the Gay Rights movement in America following the Stonewall Riots in 1978.
We mark this week to acknoweledge the struggles faced by LGBTI+ people, and to honour those who fought to make our world as safe as it is today. There is still work to be done in combatting homophobia, transphobia and biphobia, and reducing the stigma still attached to our sexualities.
Join us for the flag raising, show your support for your LGBT+ family, friends and neighbours. And listen out for the date of Youghal Pride by the Sea which will be announced on the day!
