Free Stress Control programme: online from HSE

HSE, Health & Wellbeing will be offering a Stress Control programme online, commencing 13th April 2020, via http://Stresscontrol.org  This 3 week programme is free of charge to the public and delivered by
Dr Jim White, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, the creator of the programme (for more details see attached).
 
There is a long history of successful Stress Control courses in Cork city and county over the past 8 years. In that time thousands of people in Cork have learned to manage their stress in a positive way. There are 2 strands to Stress Control in Cork; it has been run in the community with fantastic support from the HSE Community Work department, the GAA and family resource centres to name a few. It has run in locations from Youghal to Clonakilty and across Cork city and some venues have had over 300 people attend. In HSE Mental Health services the course is run for service users, family members, carers and staff in a variety of HSE and community venues. Because of COVID-19 Stress Control is not being run at present so people can instead available of this FREE course online. It will teach them lifelong skills to cope positively with stress. These skills are crucial in these unprecedented times.
