Building resilience for future climates: a survey

Glen Smith from UCC is involved with the project BCOMAR – Building Coastal and Marine Resilience.  The group is currently carrying out a survey about climate change resilience and would be grateful for any input from residents of Youghal and surrounding areas.

Building resilience for future climates: a survey

We hope you are all keeping well in the trying times. We would like to ask your opinion on an important issue.

Through our project (BCOMAR – Building Coastal and Marine Resilience) we are exploring how communities such as yours can make preparations for climate change, supported by local and national government.

We have put together a short, 10 minute survey (really, it is short) to get your opinions on this topic. Your opinions can help guide efforts to increase the resilience of coastal communities like Youghal. The survey is available here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeojAq2O34BLFPDENjDeyhgV95U2cu3F5cy9uRerxRkqLzGXg/viewform?usp=sf_link

The project is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and The Marine Institute and co-hosted by UCC and NUIG. A more detailed description is included in the survey and you can read up on BCOMAR here: https://www.marei.ie/project/bcomar/

If you have any questions, then please email Glen Smith at glen.smith@ucc.ie

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey! Your input is very important. Your answers are also anonymous; we will not be able to identify you. Please note that due to legal restrictions we are unable to accept survey answers from people under the age of 18.

Thanks again! The BCOMAR team.
