Sustainable Development Goals: workshop at CnD Café Tues 24th May

On Tuesday 24th May, Bobby McCormack of Development Perspectives, en route by bike from Waterford, will stop in Youghal, at the Cumann na Daoine Café , where he will host a public #SDGchallenge workshop hosted by the Youghal Blue and Green Network.

This free event will be an opportunity to meet with Bobby and avail of his knowledge, skills and motivation to help to take informed local action towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Bobby is the CEO of Development Perspectives and addressed the last meeting of the Forum in March 2022. In 2021 members of his team embarked on a Sustainability Development Goals (SDG) roadshow to increase awareness of the SDGs in communities throughout Ireland.

They cycled throughout the country, meeting with communities and hosting workshops to encourage and highlight the work that was being done to help meet the #SDGchallenge. This short video shows what they achieved.

This May 2022 they are taking to their bikes again. Bobby and a colleague will get on their cargo bikes and leave from Ennis and Waterford respectively, stopping off along the way to meet with communities working towards the SDGs.

We would be delighted if you could join us in Youghal on the day. The agenda is:

  • Refreshments in the Cumann na Daoine Café from 10.30 a.m. (Catherine St, Youghal-Lands, Youghal, Co. Cork, P36 WY82)
  • Greetings from the Youghal Blue and Green Network.
  • #SDGchallenge Workshop with Bobby McCormack, Development Perspectives at 11.00 a.m. (approximately 30-45 minutes)

EirGrid is delighted to sponsor the #SDGchallenge initiative for 2022 and to help spread the message throughout the country.

If you can make it, we would appreciate you letting us know by Friday 20th if possible so we can keep an eye on attendance numbers, by emailing
