This week, Spring Chickens club went on tour to St. Mary’s Collegiate Church, where Wayne Ruxton welcomed us in and gave a very informative and detailed tour. Wayne’s enthusiasm really helps us to see the living history of the church and the development of Youghal as a town. Everyone enjoyed the trip and many found personal connections to some of the historical figures and events mentioned. Thanks to John Daly Coaches for getting us up and down – it was lovely to be out and about together! We would highly recommend taking the tour yourself- there is so much to see and learn in this beautiful and ancient place.
Our next trip will be to the Cork Butter Museum on June 29th.
