Seeding the County newsletter

A happy chilly Friday to you all! We are facing our first freeze of the year and I’m sure your heating has been on full blast for the last couple of days. Here at Seeding the County, we might have pulled our scarves on, but the work isn’t slowing down! We have lots on before the end of the year so stay tuned as we send off 2021 with a bang!

First up this week, Saoirse Aiteach is back with the second episode of the Gay Agenda Radio Show, which will be hitting the waves on CRY104FM next Wednesday 10th of November at 6pm. If you missed the first episode, don’t worry! It is available right here to listen back to, and the second episode will also be available online by the weekend! https://cry104fm.podbean.com/…/the-gay-agenda-october…/

I am sure you are all missing Youghal Pride already, but don’t worry, we are just starting to think about next year’s Pride and it doesn’t have to be just us! If you’d like to learn about how last Pride went and help us bring Pride to Youghal again next year, join us on November 25th 6:30pm for the Youghal Pride AGM. Be sure to come and have your say! Email us on youghalpride@gmail.com for a Zoom invite. We are also inviting nominations for Pride committee member positions!

One final notice for you this week, we are on the lookout for volunteers in East Cork to help run a new LGBT+ Youth Group. If you have a few hours to spare and like working with youths please do not hesitate to contact us on seedingthecounty@gmail.com. Support and training provided. Garda vetting required.

Finally, this is your weekly reminder that our Teatime Zoom Sessions are always there if you need a space to chat, relax and simply be yourself. Simply send an email to seedingthecounty@gmail.com to get your link for the sessions! Teatime Zoom happens every Thursday between 5pm and 6pm.

Be sure to check out our facebook page and instagram page (@seedingthecountycork) to get all our latest news!

That’s all from me, have a great weekend,

Stay sane and stay safe,

Marielle
