PUBLIC NOTICE: Permanent Closure of the Local Training Initiative at CnD

We regret to announce that the Local Training Initiative (LTI) at Cumann na Daoine has now permanently closed following the decision to cease funding for the project. The programme was proudly EU funded through Cork College of FET, Bishopstown and while we are deeply appreciative of their support, the decision not to continue funding is very disappointing given the success and impact of the project.

The LTI delivered a full time QQI Level 5 course in Community Development & Addiction Studies, as well as a range of other training opportunities, providing valuable skills and pathways for personal and professional growth. The success of these courses has been evident not only in the achievements of participants but also in the positive contribution to the wider Youghal community.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff and all participants. Your commitment and enthusiasm made this initiative a real success story, creating opportunities, confidence, and lasting benefits for everyone involved.

Although this chapter has come to an end, the impact of the LTI will continue to be felt in Youghal and beyond.
