Here are some simple tools and reminders to practice self-care. Engaging in healthy practices that are simple and easily applied, is more important now and in the coming weeks than ever. These pieces were put together by Dr Dermot Casey and Lynda Monaghan, Coordinator of the Child & Family Support Network (CFSN), based on feedback they received from practitioners working directly with families.
These tools were developed to be simple, not time consuming and just gentle reminders to apply what we already know. They are simple one pagers to print off and leave somewhere near, as sometimes when we are busy and juggling demands, we can forget about our own self-care and self-compassion.
The materials and topics chosen were based on resilience workshops that Dermot and Lynda ran a number of years ago through Tusla. This material continues to be relevant to all of us and our practice.
