Ever wondered what a Men’s Shed does? Might it be for you?
The members of Youghal men’s Shed are inviting you to the first of their Open Days on Thursday 29th January. From 10am – 12.30 you can see what they’ve achieved at their premises behind Nagle House in Youghal. With woodworking , polytunnel and plenty of space for chat, the Men’s Shed offers companionship, a safe space to talk, and a choice of interesting projects to work on.
Over the past year, the men have made shelves, benches, bird and bat boxes and raised beds for a range of community projects. They’ve also restored various pieces and held computer and horticulture courses: their polytunnel will be full of life as spring approaches.
You’re very welcome to call in, both to the Open Day or at their regular meeting times of Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9.30am – 12.30pm. Men of all ages are invited – women too can enjoy the Open Day – so do pop in, take a look, have a chat, and maybe decide this is the group for you.
