Webinar Friday 12 September: Ember – Thinking ahead and planning for care guide for the LGBTQIA+ community
I’m taking this opportunity to share with you a webinar hosted by the All-Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC) this Friday, 12 September at 12pm, on the occasion of Palliative Care Week regarding Ember (Ember is LGBTQIA+ End-of-Life Guide launched in October 2024)
The webinar is open to the public and of particular benefit to healthcare professionals: during the session you will learn about how it was created, its content and how it can raise awareness and understanding about the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community in relation to palliative and end of life care. James Hagan (LGBT Ireland) and Kathleen Quinlan (St. Francis Hospice) will both be speaking as well as Bettina Korn (End-of-life Coordinator at St James’s Hospital) and Joe Henson (Rainbow Project from Northern Ireland), who will bring in a bit of perspective on the needs of Northern Ireland and why they would like to develop an adapted Ember guide.
Please feel free to share the registration link with your networks or attend yourself:
