The Cumann na Daoine community café on Catherine Street in Youghal will host CRÉ MAKE SPACE, a pop-up clay workshop with local artist Siobhán Joyce. Drop in any time during the evening and have a go at crafting a small clay house or landmark inspired by your home or favourite place. Your creation will then become part of an evolving window installation, illuminated with lights for one night only!
 
WHAT TO EXPECT
~ Join the long table setting where anyone can get creative with clay. Aprons, materials and tools are provided for a fun, drop-in experience.
~ Siobhán will be providing demos, inspiration and support throughout the evening as your craft a tiny house or landmark.
~ This open workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities – no experience required, just a desire to have fun with clay!
~ Enjoy a relaxed, social atmosphere where you can connect with your neighbours and community for a creative activity, or stop by for a chat and check out the evolving window display.
~ Self-service refreshments will be available.
Following the event, participants are welcome to collect their clay creation from the Cumann na Daoine reception within one week and take it home as a keepsake.
 
ACCESSIBILTIY
The café is on the ground floor with street level access. There is one parking space available for disability permit holders directly outside, with additional free parking nearby O’Neill Crowley Street Car Park and the Market Square Parking along the Quay. Ground-floor public toilets, including a wheelchair-accessible facility, are available. For specific accessibility needs, please contact Siobhán at 089 444 0361 before the event.
 
EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY NOTICE
Siobhán may capture photographs and short videos during the event for promotional and reporting purposes. Upon entry, you’ll have the option to opt-in or out of photography by signing a consent form.
