We’re delighted to welcome our new Community Development Coordinator Sinéad Fahey – we’re all looking forward to working with her over the coming months.
For the past decade, Sinéad has been involved in community development work across West Waterford. Her experience includes roles with Waterford County Council, Waterford PPN, the West Waterford Festival of Food, Waterford Sports Partnership, and Barnardos.
She began her community work with Waterford County Council, supporting people on Community Employment programmes, mentoring, and confidence-building. She then worked with Waterford PPN, helping local community groups strengthen their involvement and connections.
Sinéad later worked as Programme Manager for the West Waterford Festival of Food, collaborating closely with volunteers, local businesses, and community groups.
More recently, she delivered wellbeing programmes for children, young people, and adults through Barnardos as part of a two-year initiative in Dungarvan and West Waterford, working in collaboration with the GAA, Buíon, the West Waterford Community Family Hub, HSE, local schools, and youth services.
With over ten years’ experience, Sinéad values practical, person-centred community work and takes a collaborative approach to supporting people and groups.
