30 Trees for 30 Years – a SECAD project

In September 2025, SECAD Partnership marked an important milestone — 30 years of supporting local communities across Cork. At their celebration event in Ballinadee Community Hall, An Taoiseach Micheál Martin joined us to mark the occasion. On the day, they launched a special anniversary initiative:

30 Trees for 30 Years of Supporting Communities.

“For over three decades, SECAD has worked side by side with communities, supporting local development, social inclusion, enterprise, climate action and biodiversity. This milestone provides an opportunity not only to reflect on what we have achieved together, but also to demonstrate how much we value our long-standing cooperation and partnership with communities across the region.

As part of this initiative, we are now planting native Irish trees in communities throughout the SECAD area. We would be delighted to invite you to join us and other community groups at one of the upcoming planting events, in particular Youghal on 12/3/2026, to celebrate this shared milestone and create a lasting, living legacy together.
