A happy rainy Friday to everyone, I hope that you’re all cosied up next to your fires and heaters, it’s been a chilly while! That being said, Youghal Pride By the Sea is drawing ever closer, so it is time to start picking out your finest prideful cosy weather wear! 

We are kicking Pride off with a Flag Raising ceremony at Youghal Town Hall on Friday the 15th of October. We are honoured to be welcoming County Mayor Cllr. Gillian Coughlan to help us raise the Pride Flag over Youghal town and we are delighted to say that Youghal Town Crier Clifford Winser will also be joining us to help ring in the celebrations. Full details out very soon, keep an eye on our social media for times!

Our main events are happening on Sunday the 17th of October, where we have a wonderful afternoon of Pride and Community waiting for you all and of course, Youghal’s very first Pride Parade! Don’t forget to bring a picnic for our Jazz Picnic in the Park, happening in the Green Park.

Just to remind you of our schedule: The Pride Parade will assemble from 1:30 pm at Youghal Town Hall and move off at 2pm sharp, and we’ll be filling the street with the big rainbow flag, thanks to Eddie McGuinness and Dublin Pride for bringing it to us.The Jazz Picnic in the Park will kick off at 2:30pm, where we will have the fabulous Deise Brass Band serenading us as we tuck into our own picnics. You do not want to miss this!

Our Advocacy Group, Saoirse Aiteach, have been hard at work preparing their very first radio program on Community Radio Youghal! Entitled, ‘The Gay Agenda’ it is a program which seeks to discuss and explore the issues affecting the LGBT+ community today and talk about all the LGBT+ topics you’ve been dying to hear discussed! The first show will be out this Wednesday, October 13th, be sure to tune in at 6pm on CRY104fm to hear it for yourself.

This is your weekly reminder that our Teatime Zoom Sessions are always there if you need a space to chat, relax and simply be yourself.
