NEW: Multilingual Messages on Covid19 Vaccines: [PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION!]

New multi-lingual video messages on Covid-19 vaccines

The HSE has today launched 36 multi-lingual video messages on the Covid19 vaccine in Ireland. The video messages were developed by Translate Ireland, with the support of the National Social Inclusion Office and National Immunisation Office.

The new videos and other translated COVID-19 resources are now available to view here. Simply select the language that you are interested in to view the video and all of the available resources in that language.

The videos are available in the following languages:

Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Chinese (Mandarin), Croatian, Czech, English, Filipino, French, Georgian, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Kurdish Sorani, Latvian, Lingala, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Moldovan, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Tamil, Tigrinya, Ukrainian, Urdu, Yoruba and Zulu

According to the last census, almost 90,000 people in Ireland say they do not speak English at all or, if so, at a poor level. Multi-lingual resources are an essential part of engaging with migrant individuals and communities regarding the Covid-19 vaccine. The videos are designed to reach those who may have missed mainstream information campaigns or who do not consume local media.

Please share this resource via social media or other channels, amongst your patients, staff and local networks.

Video messages have also been produced specifically for people living in Direct Provision centres in Ireland; and will be uploaded onto the HSE website shortly.
