This morning, with artist Martha Cashman, Julie and Sinead from Youghal Library, we hung an exhibition of the amazing ceramics made by members of Spring Chickens as part of our ‘In Our Element’ project funded by Creative Ireland / Creative Cork through Cork County Council.

Below are some pictures of both the finished pieces and the workshops themselves. Martha is a wonderful teacher and everyone had great fun taking part and – as the results show – a whole range of talents came to light!

We’re grateful for the support of Youghal Library in showing these and encourage you to go and take a look – they’ll only be up for a week before being returned to the artistic participants themselves. Next week we’ll be sharing a video from artists and participants, so watch this space…and we’ll be showing other parts of ‘In Our Element’ activities over the next few weeks.
