5 Ways to a Happy Work Culture, Building Resilience, Challenging Stigma: Psyched Seminar

The Psyched steering group are delighted to bring you a really exciting Psyched Webinar on 5 Ways to a Happy Work Culture, Building Resilience, Challenging Stigma which will take place on the 25th November 2020 @ 10am – 11:30am.  I would very appreciate if you could share this email extensively amongst your networks and colleagues.

In these COVID times we have become very familiar with initiatives such as the Five Ways to Wellbeing, but do we know how the 5 Ways came about? In this webinar you get to meet the creator, Nic Marks. Nic has developed the Happy Planet Index, the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and the 5 ways to Happiness at Work during his time at New Economics Foundation. In 2019 he set up FridayPulse a company specialising in applying the 5 ways to Happiness at Work in the workplace. As a statistician, a psychotherapist and a TED speaker Nic has a unique insight and many ideas really worth sharing.

For insight on resilience, kindness practices and ways to combat stigma relating to workplace mental health we are delighted to have Dr. Tony Bates.  Tony is a Clinical Psychologist and was Head of Psychology for 30 years in St James’s Hospital, Dublin. He founded Jigsaw, The National Centre for Youth Mental Health in 2006 where he worked until his retirement in 2018. Over the years Tony has been active in shaping and writing government policy on mental health and was made Honorary Professor of Psychology in UCD in 2018 as a tribute to his contribution to the field. Tony is also a trained mindfulness teacher and now lives on a cliff overlooking the sea in North Sligo where he looks after four hens, three cats, two rabbits and about 200 wild birds.

PSYCHED will be represented on the day by Principal Psychology Manager, Daniel Flynn, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare.

panel discussion will follow hosted by popular broadcaster Jonathan Healy.  Nic and Tony will be joined by Priscilla Lynch,  Head of Service Health & Wellbeing, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare and Paula Cogan, President of Cork Chamber.

Do you have questions for our panel?

We would be delighted to hear from you in terms of questions that you would like to ask the panel on the day, we can’t assure they will be all answered but we will do our very best.
